Joseph Cornetta, a New Yorker by birth and a longtime resident of Suffolk County, is the founder and owner of Joseph Cornetta Investigations. He brings 30 years of investigation experience to your case.
Cornetta Investigations, commonly called JCI, has a new corporate office in one of Bayport, New York's Legal Complexes.

JCI’s 30-year career includes 20 years of service with law enforcement agencies, including experience as a Detective with the New York City Police Department. Over the last 10 years Joe has dedicated his focus as a Private Investigator. In this capacity his firm has developed a wide range experience with law enforcement professionals and the workings of the judicial systems. Cornetta Investigations has conducted investigations in New York State, the five boroughs of New York City and in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. When needed, JCI partners with private investigation affiliates in other states. This allows the JCI team to legally pursue any investigation that takes them across state lines. Joseph Cornetta also serves as the Chief Investigator for the Suffolk County Assigned Counsel Office (18 B panel).
BOB ADDOLORATO
Bob Addolorato is a highly decorated and seasoned law enforcement and security professional, Bob Addolorato brings over two decades of investigative experience to every role he undertakes. A First Grade Detective with the New York City Police Department (NYPD), he served as an elite member of the Bronx Homicide Task Force, specializing in federal racketeering cases targeting violent drug gangs. Over a distinguished 20-year career with the NYPD, he developed extensive expertise in conducting complex, high-profile investigations and collaborating with multiple agencies across jurisdictions.
During his tenure with the NYPD, Bob Addolorato played a critical role in the NYPD/FBI Joint Bank Robbery Task Force, where he was granted Top Secret Clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and deputized as a U.S. Special Deputy Marshal by the Department of Justice. He led investigations into armed bank robberies, armored truck holdups, ATM burglaries, and other major financial crimes. His work also extended to kidnapping, extortion, firearms trafficking, and street-level robberies. Skilled in undercover operations and surveillance, he conducted narcotics investigations using advanced monitoring equipment and intelligence-gathering techniques.
Following his NYPD service, Bob Addolorato was appointed Special Investigator for Medicaid Fraud at the Office of the New York State Attorney General from 2007 to 2011. There, he was responsible for uncovering fraudulent healthcare claims and protecting public funds.
His investigative acumen led him to serve as Chief of Investigations for the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption. In this capacity, he led critical probes into unethical practices by public officials and exposed systemic loopholes in election campaign financing.
Later, as Deputy Chief of Investigations at the Office of the New York State Inspector General, Bob Addolorato oversaw large-scale investigations into waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the state, including welfare and workers' compensation fraud, as well as gaming-related misconduct. His role required exceptional discretion, leadership, and a deep understanding of criminal operations at both the street and institutional levels.
Certified in armed security and fire safety in New York State, Bob Addolorato has continued his commitment to public safety in the private sector. His extensive law enforcement background, coupled with his managerial experience and analytical skills, make him a trusted authority in the field of security and investigations.
Bob Addolorato has completed specialized training in areas including homicide investigations, special victims’ investigations, executive protection, auto crime and fraud, and bank security through courses at the NYPD Academy and the FBI. He holds academic credentials in Criminal Justice from both SUNY Old Westbury and Iona College.
